MELEK-THA
De Magia Natvrali Daemoniaca

CD (Cold Spring)
Music: 5.5/6 Production 6/6 Packaging: 4.5/6

Melek-Tha reminded us last year that it still is a band you have to take into account with their appearance on AVA/ES1 Recs' compilation Lunar Blood Rituals; now, after almost 3 years of silence, Melek-Tha is back on Cold Spring Records with a new Opus of Oppressant Music. In my opinion, De Magia... is much sicker than the debut Astrum Argentinum and certainly more brutal. This album's theme is obviously Demons and Magic and Middle Ages, and you can feel that since the very first track announcing Hell on Earth.

The alchemy of the synth layers mixed with samples, noises, screams, sounds of battles and horses and diabolical chants and incantations works incredibly well and is guaranted to make you feel paranoid and sick. For this album is murder. Listen to it in the dark with just two or three black candles. You can't get out of this with a healthy mind.
